John started Wildlife Resolutions in 2014. He has dedicated his career to wildlife management and believes in Integrated Pest Management, and the humane management practices. John studied at SUNY Cobleskill where he earned an associate’s degree in Fisheries & Wildlife and a Bachelor of Technology in Wildlife Management. Before Starting Wildlife Resolutions, John worked as a wildlife specialist for the USDA; APHIS, Wildlife Services and as a Level IV Technician at Cornell University; Animal Health Diagnostic Lab.John is a licensed Nuisance Wildlife Control Operator, a professional Member of the National Wildlife Control Operators Association (NWCOA), an active member of the New York State Wildlife Management Association (NYSWMA), Current treasurer of NYSWMA, and is the Tompkins County Representative or New York State Trappers Association. He is also a NYS Certified Hunting and Trapping Instructor and is a NWCOA Certified Wildlife Control Professional (CWCP), Advanced Wildlife Control Operator (AWCO), Bat Standards Certified (BSC), Basic Wildlife Control Operator (BWCO), and is a Structural Bat Management Professional. Wildlife is what John Knows. With over 14 year of experience working in his profession, John has the technical know-how to resolve all your Nuisance wildlife conflicts.
Matt started part-time with Wildlife Resolutions in 2016 while maintaining his position as the program director at the Cayuga Nature Center. He Joined our team full-time in June of 2019 bringing with him an extensive educational and operational skillset. Matt is passionate about the outdoors and educating the public about all things natural. Matt is a licensed Nuisance Wildlife Control Operator, a Certified Commercial Pesticide Technician, a S.P.R.A.T. Certified Level 1 (Vertical Rope Access) Technician, and a NYS Certified Sportsman’s Education Instructor. He Maintains Annual training in OSHA Safety and stays current with Structural Bat Standards, Structural Bird Management Standards, Structural Rodent Standards, and Zoonotic Disease Training. Matt has a special interest in livestock predation, beaver conflicts, and habitat modification. Outside of work, he enjoys all things outdoors including hunting, fishing, trapping, and foraging.
Jason joined our team in December, 2020. He is a licensed Nuisance Wildlife Control Operator (NWCO), and a licensed pesticide technician. Jason holds certifications in Structural Rodent Management, Structural Bird Management, and Structural Bat Management. In addition, Jason maintains annual training in OSHA safety training and stays current with his Zoonotic Disease training. Outside of his day to day, Jason enjoys fishing and spending time with his family. Jason has an extensive amount of expertise and experience in aquaculture/pond management and is working toward developing a pond management division.
